Funny Resume Mistakes from LinkedIn Answers
Over on LinkedIn Answers, recruiters and hiring managers are sharing their responses to the question, “What is the funniest (or worst) resume gaffe you’ve seen in 2007?”
Some of the choice answers so far include:
- “I prefer lunch to be gin at Noon everyday.”
- “I want to work in a fast paste environment.”
- “Experienced Writter Available”
- A resume where the candidate explicitly spelled out his/her sexual orientation and included links to related sites as a bonus.
Hat tip to Troy Bettinger. For more examples and links to several other collections of resume blunders, check out the Resumes category on his blog.

Oh Scott, this is the first thing I’ve seen that makes me pine for my long-gone recruiter days. The only thing that ever equaled the gaffs in the resumes were the idiocies of the hiring managers, but, of course, those weren’t passed around.
