LinkedIn-Twitter Fascination

jay_solo_twitter Quote of the day, from Jay Solo on Twitter:

I find it fascinating to look at Joe Random LinkedIn of Twiitterites and find 8-way 3rd degree linkage through wildly disparate connections.

Are you on Twitter? I’d only just sort of tested the waters before, but after this weekend at SXSW, I’m hooked. At the moment it’s sort of a running stream-of-thought of social media industry insiders - very cool and highly addictive. I’ll be posting more about it soon on The Virtual Handshake Blog.

While I’m a little more selective about my LinkedIn connections, everyone is welcome to follow me on Twitter.

By the way, the essential add-on tool that made Twitter work for me was TwitBin, which shows your Twitter stream in a Firefox sidebar.

Yep, TwitBin is what set the hook for me an’ Twitter too! Don’t like the hiccups it has, but I’m willing to forgive since it makes the accessibility so much better.

I can’t use sidebar access for Twitter or I find that I don’t get anything else done.
